Several Mps face investigation on how they utilized the now scrapped Constituency Development Fund during the 8th parliament as the IGG Irene Mulyagonja confirms that she has received several complaints from residents.
Her explanation came during a meeting with the legal and parliamentary affairs committee were Kibanda county Mp Sam Amooti Otada revealed that they had received information that Mulyagonja had been directed by the president to investigate with no cause 7 outspoken Mps who are branded as NRM rebels.
Otada only named 4 Mps to include Theodore Sekikubo, Wilfred Niwagaba and himself saying the president is planning to persecute them because of the stand they are taking against bad policies within the NRM.
Otada tasked Mulyagonja to explain other reports that she had also been directed by the president to ensure that Yokasi Bihande who was convicted for failing to account for CDF loses his seat.
But Mulyangonja denied receiving a directive from the president but added that several complaints against many Mps have been forwarded to her office.
But shortly after Mp Tinkasimire told journalists that he had seen a copy of the letter written by the president and that files of Sekikubo, Otada and Niwagaba are ready and that soon they will be prosecuted.
