Lukwago summoned
Lord Mayor Erias Lukwgao is issued with criminal summons to appear before Buganda road court tomorrow 9th to answer charges related to the September 2009 Buganda riots.
Chief Magistrate Mary Khainza wants Lukwago to be present as he and 14 other 4GC activists will also receive the court ruling on whether or not their trial in relation to police officer John Michael Ariong’s death should be suspended.
Lukwgao was supposed to be in court today over charges that he incited the public and made statements implying that it would be desirable to do acts calculated to bring death or physical injury to a person perceived to oppose the Kabaka’s visit to Kayunga district on the 12th of September 2009.
He is also accused of inciting youth to destroy public property.
